Sporty students step up

A number of IGS athletes have exciting news to share after the holidays!

Primary School students continue to run, jump, kick, and tumble into action, and are having great success (and fun!) while doing so!

Over the holidays Year 5 student Daniel Cassidy continued his winning streak, gaining second place at the NSW Primary Schools Sports Association (NSWPSSA) carnival representing Combined Independent Schools (CIS) in Diving. Daniel has just been informed that he has qualified for the All Schools Nationals in August, an impressive feat achieved through hard work and dedication.

Congratulations are also in order for Year 6 student Oliver Kranenburg, who was notified during the holidays that he has been selected to play in the CIS AFl team in May. Ms Whitaker says Ollie is a skilful player who has the full support of his school as he begins this exciting journey.

Finally, Ms Whitaker was thrilled to see so many students enjoying getting active over the holidays and enjoying spending their time outside playing games with their friends.

“It was great to see so many of our students making the most of the time off and wonderful weather!”

“I love this picture of Camille, Alba and Alessia at The St George Classic during the school holidays. Well done, girls!”
