Introducing The IGS Foundation

The IGS Foundation is a long-term investment in our School’s bold vision of Unity Through Diversity and our mission to equip every student to be world-ready through languages and a culture of excellence.

By bringing together IGS’s philanthropic initiatives, The Foundation creates a clear and inspiring way for our community and major donors to invest in the future of the School. Your support strengthens our ability to:

  • Offer life-changing scholarships, including a deep and ongoing commitment to First Nations students
  • Create innovative and inspiring spaces for learning
  • Sustain the global perspective and bilingual education at the heart of IGS

On Thursday 13 November 2025, we came together for Giving Day to officially launch The IGS Foundation and Shine the Light Forward. Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to this important milestone. Our next Giving Day will be held on Thursday 29 October 2026.

Indigenous Scholarship Fund

At the heart of The IGS Foundation is our commitment to life-changing scholarships and to First Nations students through the Indigenous Scholarship Fund. Your support helps provide an IGS education for local Indigenous children, sustains our K–12 Program, and enriches our community by sharing this rich and beautiful culture. All donations are fully tax deductible.

Building Fund

The IGS Foundation strengthens our capacity to create inspiring spaces for teaching and learning, supporting our mission to ensure every student has access to an inclusive, world-class education. Your generous contribution to the Building Fund helps us provide high-quality refurbishments and state-of-the-art facilities, so our students can thrive in an environment optimal for limitless learning. Library Fund

A gift to the Library Fund will allow our librarians to ensure they have the latest books and digital resources, in both the Primary and High School Libraries, to support and enhance our students’ limitless learning. The Libraries provide strong literacy programs, with a wide variety of fiction, to encourage a love of reading. We pride ourselves on empowering students to develop critical thinking and information skills in a collaborative environment. All donations are fully tax deductible.

World Ready Scholarship Fund

Introducing the World Ready Scholarship Fund. This new initiative reflects our deep commitment to expanding opportunity at IGS. We are partnering with donors to grow scholarships across creative and performing arts, sporting achievement, academic excellence, and community endeavours.Your early support will help shape this fund and open doors for talented students. Community Giving

The IGS Colour Run returned in 2025, raising over $40,000 for the IGS Indigenous Scholarship and Building Funds. With the generous support of the Zeritis Family, Zeina Tebbutt, and Allan Snyder FRS and Family’s matched donation, the event was a huge success.

Student-led initiatives are also an important part of the IGS culture, including a toiletry drive for Lou’s Place women’s refuge (2026), and a community breakfast raising funds for Chris O’Brien Lifehouse (2025).

In 2025, Year 11 students also brought Market Day to life, raising over $2,000 for the IGS Indigenous Scholarship Fund, while giving students hands-on experience in business and marketing.
