Luca’s artwork comes to life in Vivid display

Congratulations to Luca of Year 6 whose projection mapping installation will appear in this year's Vivid Light Walk.

A collection of Luca’s artworks, called Ninget Universe, will be animated in a seven-minute show at Circular Quay and The Rocks from 27 May to 18 June, from 6pm to 11pm.

Ninget Universe is a celebration of Luca’s fun characters, creative mind and forward thinking outlook.

“Welcome to a fantastical realm bursting with myriad creatures, inventions and planets as imagined by an 11-year-old boy growing up in our awe-inspiring city,” the Vivid website states.

“Together, Luca’s colourful consortium celebrates all walks of life and is a metaphor for diversity and integration.

“Born with a pencil in his hand, Luca imagines life in the most extraordinary ways.

“He was making stop-motion videos before he started kindergarten, and in recent years Luca has invested his time and passion into the bold, colourful characters we see here.

“As an environmentalist and animal lover to the core, his ideas literally pour forth, speedily transforming a blank canvas into a rich world of imaginary beings.”
