Having fun with Hiragana

Kindy Japanese students have been busy learning Hiragana, a Japanese script.

In small groups, children engaged in a variety of activities to learn Hiragana. They particularly enjoy the Hiragana ring toss game. “Te!” called out Kaleb as the ring went into the pole with a card with a letter “て”. Next to him, Maksim was busy looking for Hiragana “て” to tick off.

On the next table, Winton and Judy worked collaboratively to build keywords using blocks with Hiragana. Meanwhile Henry and Anoushka were busy completing Hiragana puzzle cooperatively.
