New skills and fun ASISSA Netball

Marla of Year 6 reflects on a recent netball competition.

She was one of 11 IGS Primary School girls to represent the School in the All Suburbs Independent School Sport Association (ASISSA) competition.

“We all played five games. Our team got off to a bit of a rocky start but ended up all having an amazing time,” Marla said.

“We competed against different schools. The weather was good and it was sunny all day. Lala of Year 5 made it into CIS. Congratulations.

“We all made new friends, learnt new skills in netball and all had an amazing time. We got to share ideas, strategies and encouragement to one another. We all worked as hard as we could, definitely shared a couple of laughs and were overall very happy with how we did. Thank you, Miss Whitaker, for choosing us to accompany you at the ASISSA netball competition.”

PDHPE’s Veronica Whitaker congratulated all students and gave a special congratulations to Kallarah, of Year 5, who went on to represent ASISSA at the Combined Independent Schools (CIS) Netball Gala Day.
