School starts with a hop, skip and a jump

Primary sport is off to a flying start.

We’ve only been back at school for less than two weeks and already primary students have jumped into action, participating in Tennis, Kilometre Club and First Nations dance.

Kilometre Club

“Kilometre Club meets every Wednesday morning and gives students the opportunity to get active and healthy before school,” noted Mrs Haynes and Mrs Whitaker, who encourage students to sign up with their friends.

“This week students completed 3kms in shuttle runs, focusing on arm drive and body position,” said Mrs Haynes.

Students in Year 1 Red enjoyed an afternoon of tennis on the roof on Thursday, learning how to hold a racquet and hit the ball using proper technique.

It’s wonderful to see so many of our junior students enjoying getting active, prioritising their physical and mental wellbeing and having fun while doing so!
