Sport bounces back at IGS

Sport has begun again at IGS after much disruption over the past two years.

“We’ve had a great start to the sporting year at IGS,” said Assistant Head of PDHPE Veronica Whitaker.

“A number of students attended the trial for both Tennis and Basketball, and we thank all students who attended.

“Four students represented IGS at the All Suburbs Independent School Sport Association (ASISSA) basketball trails at Sydney University on Wednesday. They were run through their paces with drills and then a game.”

Congratulations to Year 6’s Patrick, Noah and Year 5’s Lala and Oscar!

Patrick has also been selected to attend the Combined Independent Schools (CIS) trials. Well done and the best of luck next week, Patrick.

Thankyou to Ms Haynes and all the students who attended the tennis trials.

This week some of our dedicated tennis players attended the ASISSA Tennis trials, playing a number of games. Congratulation to Year 5 students Lucy Skilton and Dorian Eberhardt and Year 6 students Nicholas Tsiolis, William Keenan and James Chan.
