On Tuesday 19 May, IGS welcomed Year 8 students and their families to our Stage 5 Subject Selection Evening, an exciting opportunity to explore the rich range of subjects, electives and learning experiences available in Years 9 and 10.
This year’s event also marked the introduction of iSTEM, an innovative course that brings together science, technology, engineering and mathematics through hands-on, future-focused learning. The addition of iSTEM reflects IGS’s ongoing commitment to preparing students for a rapidly changing world by fostering creativity, collaboration, problem-solving and innovation.
From Film Studies and Languages to Science, Mathematics, Humanities, Creative Arts, Technology and Sport, the evening showcased the breadth, creativity and academic depth of an IGS education.
Families had the opportunity to meet teachers, speak with student representatives, visit interactive subject stalls and gain valuable insight into the courses and pathways that support every learner to grow, challenge themselves and pursue their interests.
