“One of the best ways to teach young students grammar is with props and/or colourful imagery. The Year 1 students matched pictures of the family members with the correct possessive pronouns and wrote accompanying sentences. The students were very proud of their posters,” said Italian Teacher Nicola Sternberg.
“Year 2 students have been learning about transport in Italian. This topic has allowed students to revise colours, numbers and basic sentence structures.
“In Week 5, students learnt about different forms of transport made in Italy, from the gondola to the Ferrari. Year 2 students enjoyed creating their own gondolas and decorating them.”
