Young swimmers make a splash

IGS students in Kindergarten to Year 2 took 'personal best' to the pool at their very first IGS Swimming Carnival, at Ryde Aquatic Centre.

“The format of the carnival allowed for all students to participate, where all students had multiple opportunities to compete and strive for their personal best,” said Assistant Head of PDHPE, Sport and Outdoor Education Primary  Veronica Whitaker.

“Students participated in swimming races and a range of novelty events, the rapid river, water slide, dive balls, and kickboard races,”

“Thank you to our Year 10 students who were fantastic role models to our Junior School students. A big thankyou to Mr Hunting for organising the day, and all the teachers who make it a fun and safe day for our students.

“This is a great finish to our term of swimming, remember to keep safe around the water as we head into the summer holidays.”
