‘Wild and wonderful’ Theatresports performances

Congratulations to our IGS Theatresports intermediate and senior teams who competed in the recent Theatresports Schools Championship.

“Students been training hard all year and we are very proud of their efforts,” said Director of Dramatic Arts Rita Morabito.

“Both teams were coached by IGS Alumni and 2018 Head Boy Lukian Adams whose expertise saw the Intermediate Team progress to the Semi-Finals.”

Lukian said the Intermediate Team “scored big points from the judges for their wild and wonderful offers, with scenes of cars fixing their own mechanics, magic polar bears fixing climate change and never-ending cake”.

“They did so well that they managed a third-place finish, which means they are through to the next round of finals!

“While the senior team didn’t make it through to the next round, they received a great score for their three-minute Shakespeare scene, a notoriously hard game, and, in the writer’s humble opinion, easily won the award for best dressed.”

Well done to all involved.
