Wear it Purple Day celebrated at IGS

The IGS community embraced purple to celebrate diversity.

IGS students from Early Learning to Year 12 embraced the colour purple on Friday 28 August in celebration of Wear it Purple Day.

IGS student Kera said she wore purple to support her peers in the LGBTQI+ community and those in our society.

“We’re wearing purple in solidarity with the LGBTQ community.  We’re lucky to go to such an accepting, open-minded school,” Katya of Year 12 said.

“It’s Wear it Purple Day and everybody should be allowed to be whoever they want to be,” Tailitiu said.
