IGS Mock Trial wins second round robin match

IGS Mock Trial looks to move to the knockout stage next Term.

IGS competed in Round 3 of Mock Trial against Hunter School of the Performing Arts. The criminal case centred around a drug spiking accusation. IGS acted as the prosecution. Both teams competed strongly, with several objections raised to the witnesses’ evidence.

IGS was unable to successfully convince the court of the accused’s guilt. However, Mock Trial is scored on the performance of students in their role, not whether they win the case. IGS outscored the opposition with outstanding opening and closing addresses, and cross examination.

The team has won two out of three round robin matches this semester and hopes to be involved in the knockout stages next Term.
