Harmony Day poster and swim successes

Congratulations to Year 4 student Justin who has been announced as the state runner up in the recent Harmony Day poster competition.

During April, thousands of NSW students entered the annual Harmony Day Poster and Song Writing Competition which has run since 2005.

The competitions aim to establish a platform for communicating the positive benefits of harmony, humanity, unity and co-operation in society. The theme this year was Celebrating Harmony.

Justin from 4 Green entered with an amazing, bright poster that depicted his idea of harmony and inclusion. He completed this over a week first using pencil to sketch and plan before ensuring every part of the poster was coloured with marker!

Justin has been invited to the Award Ceremony to be held at the the NSW Parliament House on Wednesday 14 September later this year to celebrate!

The Minister for Multiculturalism and Seniors, Mark Coure, MP, will be hosting. Award certificates will be presented by dignitaries at the ceremony.

Year 4 green Teacher Victoria Milla said she is “extremely proud” of Justin, as is the whole School.

Pictured with Justin is Head of Junior School Colin Bird and Audrey of Year 6 who was awarded a trophy for her recent swimming performance, winning her age championship. Congratulations, Audrey!
