On Wednesday 31 July we celebrated National Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) Educators’ Day, an annual day to recognise the importance of OSHC educators across Australia.
We reflected on and acknowledged the positive impact that OSHC educators have on the lives of children, young people and their families here at IGS — providing a leisure program after school and throughout the term breaks on our School calendar.
In our OSHC service, in 3 years, the After School Care program has grown from welcoming 97 children each week to almost 200, and almost all Primary School children are enrolled in the service.
