Grit and Growth

The annual IGS Primary Cross Country carnival on Friday 24 April was filled with energy and School spirit. Students in Years 3–6 ran with purpose, competing for House points and the opportunity to qualify for the representative team. Every runner demonstrated grit and determination across the course.

A large group of children wearing sports clothes start running a race on grass under a brick archway, with trees and cones visible in the background.

From the opening race to the final sprint, support around the grounds was strong. Students encouraged one another, challenged their fitness and stayed focused through to the finish line.

Thank you to the Primary School PDHPE Department and especially Primary School Head of PDHPE Lucy Haynes for delivering another excellent carnival.

Well done to all students who took part, stepped up and worked towards their personal best.
