German students explore post-school pathways

Uni day for Years 9 and 10

German students in Years 9 and 10 embarked on an exciting learning journey this week. These bright young individuals were offered a special chance to explore the multitude of university pathways that lie ahead after their school years.

The event drew participation from a variety of schools across Sydney, Students listened to presentations from the Languages departments from esteemed institutions including; The University of Sydney, UNSW, UTS, and Macquarie University. These presentations served as windows into the diverse fields of study available, allowing the students to envision their potential scholarly pursuits. Adding a personal touch, two current German students from the University of Sydney shared their experiences, bridging the gap between aspiration and reality.

Afterwards, the students were divided into year groups to engage in brief speaking activities and games. This interactive approach kindled vibrant connections among students from different schools.

After a satisfying lunch break that provided a chance to recharge, the students embarked on a campus tour led by knowledgeable  Campus Ambassadors before finishing at the iconic main Quadrangle. Roaming through academic corridors, students absorbed the atmosphere of higher learning.

The event opened doors to post-school life and explored the academic paths ahead. 

“Was für ein schöner Tag!” indeed – a beautiful day of learning and growth.
