Year 11 students interested in a career with the Australian Defence Force (ADF) were treated to an immersive and enlightening experience at the inaugural Navy Life Expo at the International Convention Centre on Tuesday 7 November. The day commenced with an engaging expo at the ICC, providing students with the invaluable opportunity to interact with various Navy personnel in a variety of roles.
Giveaways and competitions were amongst the highlights of the expo which provided an overview of the opportunities available in the Royal Australian Navy. Students were then transported by boat to the HMAS Adelaide where they embarked on a guided tour of the vessel to see the roles in action. From the Deck to the engine room, students were privileged to be able to see first hand the vast array of technical and support roles that exist within the Royal Australian Navy.
Students valued this unique experience which generated greater interest in the prospect of an Australian Defence Force career.
