“Delight, awe and wonderment” from Early Learners

"It was an absolute delight to see the awe and wonderment across the children's faces," said Director of Music Darren Kuilenburg.

On Monday of Week two, Early Learning children were invited to watch a preview of the IGS School Musical.

Head of School Early Learning Sarah Herbert said it was “wonderful” for the children to hear the real life sound of the orchestra, singing, dancing and acting on stage.

“The IGS Early Learning Music Program extends children’s learning across all music outcomes including performing, organising sound and listening. Children prepared for the performance by talking about what it means to be a member of the audience.”

Director of Music Darren Kuilenburg added that “the murmuring of excited voices as children responded was heart-warming, particularly as they said “hello” to the Bucket Family as the grandparents, who were asleep in the bed, moved onto stage.”

“Then, in response, suddenly the grandparents quickly woke up and returned the “hello”! A very fun moment for the children!”
