Bridging Worlds: From Osaka to Sydney

IGS welcomed a group of 30 junior Japanese exchange students from Osaka on Tuesday, 12 March. To ensure a warm welcome and a smooth start to their exchange experience, a special meeting was planned on the first day.

They met with Japanese Teacher Hiroko Yamaguchi and other senior staff on the Bibliothèque stairs and were given an overview of the exciting activities and events planned for their stay. After settling in and adjusting to the new environment, the students began their academic activities and got to know each other.

The exchange students will be farewelled from the School on Tuesday 20 March when they will head off on a day trip to the Blue Mountains and spend the night at a hotel in Darling Harbour. On the following day, their very last day in the country, the students will spend the day sightseeing at Taronga Zoo before flying back to Japan in the evening.

IGS would like to thank all the hosting students for being so welcoming and supportive of our exchange students during their time with us.
