Top talent to lead IGS Musical dancers

Choreographer Brad Carter has been appointed for the IGS Musical, The Addams Family.

Director of Music Darren Kuilenburg in association with the mighty music department and Ms Colnan, are pleased to announce that the Sschool has appointed Brad Carter as our choreographer for this year’s production of The Addams Family.

“Brad joins us with exceptional credentials as a highly sought-after choreographer, dance and part-time educator with Sydney Catholic Schools,” said Mr Kuilenburg.

Brad is a graduate of Brent Street and has a passion for teaching and dance education. He has worked for REDed (Raw Energy Dance Education) inspiring kids in schools all over Sydney through dance and teaches open classes at Sydney Dance Company.

Most recently Brad had the opportunity to work with more than 2,000 students as Associate Choreographer of the School of Rock the Arena Production for Sydney Catholic Schools at Qudos Bank Arena.

“My main goal as Choreographer for the 2023 IGS Musical is to give students the opportunity to explore many different styles of movement within the show, to challenge students to move in a different way and explore quirky and unique dance steps,” said Brad.

“I also want to inspire students to find the meaning behind the movement that adds to the storytelling of the overall production.

“Every person is on stage for a reason. What is your reason? Let’s explore that together.

“We are certainly looking forward to welcoming Brad and preparing for our season that opens on Thursday 3 August in The Everest Theatre, Seymour Centre,” said Mr Kuilenburg, who will be announcing auditions in the coming weeks.
