Bibliothèque features on cover of Architecture Bulletin

The Award winning Bibliothèque recently graced the cover of the Architecture Bulletin.

The Bibliothèque, completed in 2020, recently won top place in an Australasian award for teaching and learning spaces.

The highly coveted award, from the Australasian Association for Learning Environments was in the category of renovation and modernisation under $5m. Read more about the award here.

The two-storey Bibliothèque, in the heart of the School, is among a number of spaces reimagined and recreated within the IGS Master Plan. It was designed by BVN.

With its sleek Colleagues’ Lounge, a Reading Room, a Writing Room and more, the IGS Bibliothèque in the heart of our School caters for diverse needs of learners aged three to eighteen and teaching and support staff.

The Bibliothèque includes the David Baker Learning Centre, the vine-flanked Amphitheatre, Conservatory, Pond and a verandah.

Booths for small groups or individual research and a soft orange tunnel also feature, along with flexible learning spaces and multiple offices.
