Young Italian scientists

Year 6 students of Italian are gaining a taste for science.

Year 6 students of Italian carried out an experiment with celery.

“Experiments such as this celery experiment are a great way to introduce basic science concepts in another language that are fun and visual,” said Head of Languages Junior School Vilma Rotellini.

“It was a fun way for the Year 6 Italian class to learn how plants absorb water using colored water and celery stalks.

“They recorded their observations over a few days and drew before and after pictures.”
