Year 9 Students Visit Nihongo Tanken Centre

Year 9 students recently took part in an exciting language and cultural immersion workshop at the Nihon Tanken Centre, located at Kirrawee High School.

Throughout the day, students engaged in a range of interactive activities designed to strengthen their Japanese language skills while deepening their understanding of Japanese culture. Students played matching games, katakana word building games, speed dating interviews, guess the vocabulary, kanji relay and quiz grand prix. The immersive experience encouraged students to practise speaking and listening in authentic contexts, helping bring their classroom learning to life.

The excursion provided a valuable opportunity for students to build confidence in their communication skills, collaborate with peers and experience Japanese culture in a dynamic and engaging environment.

A special thank you to Japanese teachers Alicia Lu and Hiroko Yamaguchi for supporting and guiding students throughout the excursion.
