We are delighted to welcome Charlotte (Charlie) Kemeny as the new School Nurse at IGS.
Charlie brings extensive experience in paediatric care, holding a Bachelor of Nursing (Paediatrics) as well as postgraduate qualifications in Paediatric Intensive Care, Child and Family Health, and Immunisation for Health Practitioners. Over the past 15 years, she has worked in paediatric and neonatal intensive care at the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, a cardiac paediatric intensive care unit in London, and more recently as a Child and Family Health nurse and lactation consultant in Sydney’s inner west.
She started on Monday 25 August and is based in the Health Clinic on Level 1, generally available from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. For first aid or health support outside these hours, students and staff can visit Student Reception or Ground Floor Reception.
Beyond her professional expertise, Nurse Charlie is a parent to two boys, aged 7 and 9, and a proud owner of a large dog, Mickey. She is looking forward to getting to know students, staff and families, and to supporting the health and wellbeing of our School Community.
