USYD, UTS and UNSW visit IGS

As part of the IGS Career Development Program, university representatives are invited each year to speak to students from Years 10 to 12.

This term, Careers Advisor Amelia Phillips invited UTS, UNSW and USYD to speak to our students about the university admissions process, courses available at each institution and admissions pathways, including early entry schemes.

Student representatives from each university studying a range of courses attended these on-campus information sessions. Hearing from current university students helped our students obtain first-hand knowledge of each school, which will help them to make important post-school decisions. UTS, USYD and UNSW are consistently in the top four tertiary education destinations each year from our Year 12 graduates.

Later this year, selected Year 10 students will participate in a one-day career exploration session at Macquarie University, another popular destination. The students will visit the Ryde campus as part of the Year 10 Creative Internships program in November.
