So many Mandarin Recitation successes!

Well done to the 18 IGS students who recently competed in the final of the 2022 ‘Hello Mandarin’ Recitation Competition.

“There were around 25 participants including primary school students and high school students from all over Australia,” said Chinese Teacher Linda Gu.

“It was a tough competition but a wonderful learning experience! International Grammar School students achieved amazing results as individuals and as a team!”

Congratulations to the following students who won third prize in their age group: Joshua and Alexander, Claire of Year 2 Chinese, Jack of Year 1 Chinese and William of Year 2 German.

Congratulations to the following students who won the second prize in their age groups: Parker and Maya of Year 3 Chinese, Maya of Year 3 Chinese, Caitlin and William of Year 1 Chinese, Nolan and Margot of Year 2 Chinese, Audrey and Stephen of Year 1 Chinese, Henry of Kindy Chinese and Ruby of Year 12 Chinese.

Sarina of Year 12 Italian and Maroun of Kindy Chinese won the first prize in their age groups.

Jade of Year 3 Chinese won the championship in their age group 2022 and won a champion award voucher for $100.

“Congratulations to all these students for their amazing achievements!” said Linda.

“Many parents who were there told me that they were so moved by the children’s performances. I am so proud of all these students.”

So is our whole school community! Well done to all who took part, and to their teachers.
