IGS High School Italian Language Teacher Sabrina Casu was recently featured in Il Globo La Fiamma, Australia’s leading Italian community newspaper, for her dual passions: teaching and marathon running.
Having completed nine marathons in three years, including the recent Boston Marathon, Sabrina is now working toward completing the prestigious Abbott World Marathon Majors. She brings the same resilience, consistency and drive into the classroom.
Sabrina’s dedication to immersive language education shines through at IGS, where students are exposed to Italian language and culture through intensive programs, interdisciplinary learning, cultural activities and overseas exchanges. She also places great emphasis on feedback, supporting student growth with detailed and personalised guidance.
In the article, Sabrina acknowledged the strong support of IGS Principal Shauna Colnan and her fellow educators, including trailblazers Rita Morabito and Vilam Rotellini, who have helped shape the School’s outstanding language programs.
