The IGS OSHC team took part in a team building Professional Day which included a reformer pilates class at Studio Pilates in Surry Hills, followed by a breakfast/coffee meeting and an afternoon of planning for Term 4.
“The team was in high spirits after receiving the outcome of their assessment and rating audit,” said Head of Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) David Engelbert.
The service was recently assessed and by the Department of Education, Early Childhood Education and Care against the National Quality Standard.
“The NQS includes seven quality areas that are important outcomes for children,” said David.
“Our IGS service received an overall rating of ‘Meeting National Quality Standard’ – a best ever result for an IGS Out of School Hours Care service.
“The dedication of the OSHC educators to improving the quality of the service and the care they have for the children is inspiring. I am proud of what the team has been able to achieve!”
