Running across Term 2 and Term 3, the residency will bring artists into the school community to collaborate directly with students and staff through immersive, process-led creative experiences.
Unlike one-off workshops, the program is designed to foster sustained artistic engagement, giving students the opportunity to explore authentic creative practices alongside experienced practitioners in a supportive and inclusive environment.
The initiative aims to:
- Foster belonging and connection within the school community
- Provide safe and inclusive opportunities for creative expression
- Deepen engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures where possible
- Expose students to diverse artistic practices and perspectives
Applications are welcomed from artists with experience working collaboratively with children and young people, and facilitating inclusive, culturally responsive creative practices. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists are strongly encouraged to apply.
Successful applicants will receive support funding between $10,000 and $25,000, alongside access to school facilities and coordination support.
Expression of Interest submissions are now open and submissions will be received until Monday 1 June 2026.
