Learning through play

Early Learning Matters Week is acknowledged around Australia this week, with the theme Learning Through Play.

Organised by Early Childhood Australia, Early Learning Matters Week brings together early childhood educators, parents, carers and community leaders around Australia to raise awareness and understanding of the importance of early learning and the difference the profession makes in our communities.

Early Learning Matters Week aims to recognise and raise the profile of early childhood education and care in children’s development and wellbeing in Australia.

Earlier this year we asked families why IGS Early Learning was important to them. Here are some of their responses:

“We love all the exposure to new ideas, different people and diversity of languages, including music as a language.”

“We love all the deeply invested teachers.”

“Amazing commitment to learning using the latest research. Music and languages focus is outstanding! Thank you!”

“We love the enriched programs with excellent care from teachers and staff. Top quality ELC in Sydney, truly SPECIAL!!!”

“My boy is happy, stimulated and challenged.”

The children also reflected on what they like about coming to Early Learning at IGS:

“I like playing with my friends.”

“I like playing in the ship. I like drawing. I like the slide. I like the teachers comforting me.”

“I’m happy and excited to come every day.”

‘I just love it!”
