Kindergarten to Year 2 celebrate end of year

Kindergarten to Year 2 participated in a very special end of year Speech Day Assembly.

The School Hall was packed with proud parents and teachers, and there was a special buzz in the air as students received awards and entertained the crowd with a variety of acts.

Student leaders Charlotte Waley and Alexander Johnson welcomed attendees, followed by a Welcome to Country by Raymond Weatherall.

Angelique Grasso and Elias Prasad of Year 6 took to the stage before Principal Shauna Colnan addressed the crowd.

The Kindergarten class performance of Shoo Fly, Don’t Bother Me was well received as was Year 1’s performance of Haida.

Language performances included Volare, Domenico Modugno (Italian), Le Lion est Mort Ce Soir (French), きもちのたいそう ‘Kimochi no taisó‘ (Japanese), 月亮圆 Meiky Music Niam (Chinese) and Abala Barlawa (Everything Was At Peace) (German).

Individual student performances by Alexander Tong on violin, Dorothy De Re on piano, Evelyn Tuon on piano, Clara Greenhalgh on piano, Audrey Zhao on piano and Kayla Vartanian on recorder further showcased the range of talent within our Primary School.

The school song Unity, Diversity composed by Dr Ross Edwards AO provided a fitting final performance and was followed by a closing address and thank you from Head of Primary School Colin Bird.

Congratulations to all students and best wishes for a happy holiday. We look forward to seeing you all again in 2023!
