On Thursday 18 September, we welcomed parents, carers and families to the Kindergarten to Year 2 Celebration of Learning, where students proudly shared their Science projects. Kindergarten investigated plants and how they grow, observing the needs of living things and how they change over time. In Year 1, students explored animal features and habitats, focusing on how external features help animals meet their needs in their environments. Year 2 turned their attention to water and marine animals, including endangered species, linking their studies to both habitats and the importance of water for life.
Together, these projects gave students opportunities to observe, question and communicate their understandings of the natural world, while families gained insight into the rich learning taking place in our classrooms. A warm thank you goes to all their teachers for fostering this learning and sharing it with our community.
