Last week, Kimberley Law Digital Learning Specialist attended the two-day EduTech conference, Australia’s biggest event for educators and EdTech companies. A space for collaboration, connection and driving innovation. By exchanging ideas and experiences, it inspires educators to lead positive change in teaching and learning nationwide.
Kimberley presented to delegates how we created Kaleidoscope Kids, International Grammar School’s student-led podcast. Over 40 episodes have featured multilingual content, guest speakers including Tony Armstrong and Anthony Burke, and a jingle competition that led to a professionally recorded theme — all on a minimal budget. It was a joy to reflect on how this project came to life with the support of our incredible School Community.
“I also had great conversations with educators, whose sessions were packed with practical insights. The discussions around GenAI in K-12 education were especially thought-provoking. Keynotes from Sal Khan and Adam Goodes offered powerful perspectives on AI and leadership. Google’s masterclasses were a creative boost—especially for an art lover like me who can’t draw! Looking forward to continuing the conversation with staff and students about how we utilise AI and tech at IGS,” shared Kimberley.
As we continue to explore the possibilities of AI and digital learning, events like EDUtech reaffirm the importance of curiosity and collaboration in shaping the future of education at IGS. Thank Kimberley for representing IGS and the Kaleidoscope Kids at the conference!
