On 15 June, 27 IGS students competed in the final round of the 9th annual Hello Mandarin Chinese Recitation Competition for Primary and High School Students in NSW at the NSW Teachers Federation Conference Centre.
This competition, co-organised by the Sydney Recitation Arts Group and the Chinese Language Teachers Association of NSW, aims to inspire students to learn Chinese and helps build their confidence in public speaking.
We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students at this year’s competition:
- Aria H and Anna L (Kindy) were awarded the Gold Award in the Family Group
- Kelly W and Kimberly W received the Gold Award in the Friends Group
- Christina D and Hana P earned the Gold Award in their age group.
- Claire S received multiple top honours: the Gold Award for individual recitation, the title of Hello Mandarin Image Ambassador, the Creative Performance Award and the Mandarin Learning Scholarship.
- Vicky C was recognised with the Creative Performance Award and the Silver Award in her age group
We also extend our warm congratulations to the following students for their impressive achievements:

Bronze Award (Age Group):
