Farewell to Deputy Principal Lisa Kelliher

IGS Principal Shauna Colnan has announced that our Deputy Principal Teaching and Learning Lisa Kelliher is leaving IGS this term.

Lisa is moving into a new role in the area of people and culture and is very excited about the future as she pursues this new direction in her career.

Lisa joined IGS in 2019 as the Director of Teacher Effectiveness and in Term 4 of that year was appointed as Deputy Principal, with a focus on academic operations and teaching and learning.

In thanking Lisa, Shauna remarked that “Lisa’s time at IGS has been characterised by her commitment, courage and dedication in driving excellence in teaching and learning across the School, particularly in the areas of programming, assessment and reporting, professional development and communication with parents, staff and students.”

Lisa’s colleagues have also expressed their appreciation to Lisa for her drive, skill, enthusiasm and effectiveness as a leader and teacher in the School for these past three and half years.

We will be thanking Lisa formally at special staff events this term to wish her all the very best for the future and to thank her for the important contribution she has made to our School.

In the meantime Head of High School Anthony Dennehy will be Acting Deputy for the rest of the year while Deputy Head of High School Fabian Mandrini will take on the Head of High School role.

A recruitment process will commence shortly to appoint a new Deputy Principal for IGS with a focus on the academic development of all students from 2023, working alongside Deputy Principal Wellbeing Mary Duma.
