Three smiling young people stand together in an airport, ready for a flying start. Two wear or hold a Spanish flag, and one has a blue mask under his chin. They have their arms round each other and look happy, excited for new exchanges ahead.

Exchanges off to a flying start

After a two-year pause due to the pandemic, IGS students are once more heading into the world on exchange!

A group of 24 High School students recently departed Sydney bound for their six-week exchange adventures in Italy, Germany, Spain and France.

“It will be a life changing experience for them!” said IGS Acting Director of Languages and Chinese teacher Shuyi Wu.

“IGS organises Language Exchange programs for all six languages taught at the School and there are junior and senior programs.

“We are looking forward to hearing their fantastic stories!”

IGS enjoys long-standing exchange partnerships with a number of schools around the world.
