The number of early entry schemes available to students has grown significantly over the years and this helps reduce the stress of the HSC on students.
In 2023 we have seen an increase in the number of IGS students applying for early entry. Already 49 early offers have been made to our students across a range of direct early entry programs.
Many students utilise early entry to secure a back-up a course prior to the release of their ATAR, while others have a clear goal to study at a particular university, such as ANU in Canberra. Applications to the ANU are consistently strong with 12 IGS students receiving an offer via direct entry.
UTS remains the most popular university that students apply to for an early offer. To date we have 11 students who received a conditional offer to UTS.
Macquarie University’s Leaders and Achievers early entry program is designed for students with a strong academic performance in Year 11 and who demonstrate leadership and commitment through various extracurricular activities either within school or in their community. Second round offers are yet to be released. However, 9 students received an early offer in Macquarie University’s first Leaders and Achievers offer round.
Congratulations to all IGS students who have received early entry offers.
