2025 HSC Top Achiever German Extension

Anne-Catherine (Aki) Linzer

IGS Class of 2025 graduate Anne-Catherine (Aki) Linzer was “very surprised and very happy” to achieve an HSC result of Third Place in the State for German Extension.

A young woman with long, wavy light brown hair wears a dark school uniform with a white collar and visible school logo. A Top Achiever in German Extension for the HSC, she smiles softly in front of a leafy green background.

Aki, who joined IGS in Year 5, was awarded first in IGS for the same course at the 2025 IGS Speech Night.

She said she enjoyed her time at IGS.

“The best thing is the community. IGS is a very warm and welcoming place to be and to learn.”

She also enjoyed going to Spain on exchange and a recent excursion with IGS to Lizard Island.

“It’s a remote Island,” she said. “We stayed at a research centre with [IGS Head of Sustainability and Head of Philosophy] Mr Fedele. It was a very rare opportunity.”

Aki has her sights set on a career in science or medicine.

We wish her all the best, as we congratulate all of our graduates on their many achievements and contributions.
