Smart Hearts, Strong Starts

This week, our Year 1 students began the Social Emotional Active Learning (SEAL) program — a five-lesson workshop designed to build empathy, emotional awareness and key social skills through active learning.

The SEAL program uses games, props and situational problems to help students recognise and manage their emotions, develop positive relationships and strengthen their communication and problem-solving skills. Each lesson offers opportunities for students to work collaboratively and reflect on their responses in a fun and supportive environment.

At IGS, programs like SEAL support our commitment to nurturing emotionally aware and socially capable learners, encouraging students to think critically and compassionately as they navigate real-life scenarios through creative and engaging activities.
