IGS will celebrate and raise awareness with a school-wide Mufti Day.
Director of Advancement Paul Galea is encouraging students who come to school in mufti to donate a gold coin towards the cause.
“It is nice for even the younger children to feel good about being generous,” Paul said.
“Yes, I know a gold coin is ‘old school’ and many of you don’t carry cash these days but for students to drop a coin into the bucket is a worthwhile experience for them.
“The feeling of giving to a cause is something that can provide genuine happiness in many people and we would love our students to become ‘lifelong givers!’”
Paul will be at the front of the school with students, and buckets and a smile to collect the donations.
The Giving Day website will go live at 8am on Wednesday morning. We have a number of very generous Matching Donors so that every dollar that you donate will count double!
