Luca’s ideas come to life on the page

Congratulations to Luca on the publication of his book, Fix-It Ninget.

Last year, Luca French, now in Year 7, became the youngest ever participant to have an installation that formed part of the Vivid Sydney when his Ninget Universe was projected on the ASN Clocktower behind the Overseas Passenger Terminal during the festival.

A book publisher saw his installation during the festival of lights and immediately saw a possible book based on his work.

Fast forward to Saturday 14 February and Luca is now co-author (with his mum Sarah) and sole illustrator of a new book called, Fix-It Ninget.

His book launch took place at Better Read than Dead, and was attended by many of his friends from IGS, said Head of Primary School Colin Bird, who was also in attendance.

Planet Ninget is a truly unique and delightful picture book whose bold and colourful characters originated from imagination of Luca.

Congratulations, Luca! We can’t wait to have a signed copy in the IGS Bibliothèque.
