Students from Years 3 to 6 Choir and Paganini represented IGS at the 2025 IPSHA Performing Arts Festival at the Sydney Town Hall. This evening was a tremendous triumph of performances and we were proud of our IGS students who presented such a beautifully collaborative performance of Vinternatt by Frode Fjellheim arranged by Luke Byrne, co-conducted by Head of Choral Erica Byrne and Head of Strings Joanna Buggy. The students performed with such artistry, confidence and joy. It was clear they carried immense pride in representing their School. Their success is a true reflection of your dedication, creativity and the inspiring guidance provided by their Music teachers every day, certainly seen in the students’ confidence and musicality, and reflected in the beautiful music we all experienced across the whole evening.
The IPSHA NSW/ACT Performing Arts Festival is held each year at Sydney Town Hall, showcasing the talents of more than 1,000 students from 28 independent primary schools. Through music, dance and drama, the festival offers young performers the chance to grow in creativity, confidence, teamwork and resilience. More than entertainment, these performances highlight identity, collaboration and the joy of shared learning.
