Our IGS community is passionate about sustainability. In collaboration with IGS Head of Sustainability Carmelo Fedele, IGS students will be supporting a Planet Ark initiative to help develop recycling assets and events for communities and schools. Carmelo shared “Planet Ark has offered IGS recycling sessions which we are looking forward to implementing during the year”.
This important Planet Ark initiative was announced on World Environment Day and aims to further efforts to reduce food waste and packaging, and tackle the challenge of plastic waste and recycling with corporate support from Coles. Over the next three years Planet Ark will roll out range of waste reduction and recycling initiatives, like National Recycling Week and School Recycle Right Challenge.
