On Wednesday evening, IGS students lit up Soundspace with the 2025 IGS Rock Band Competition, launching this year’s IGS Competition Series with a powerful start. The event showcased student bands from across the Primary and High Schools, with standout performances by The Lemons, Entity, The Bens, My Favourite Worst Nightmare and Carp Syndrome.

The atmosphere was electric – driven by guitar riffs, drum solos and vocals that had the audience buzzing. It was a celebration of student talent and School spirit, with impressive performances across all divisions.

In the Junior Division, The Lemons took the win with their high-energy rendition of Can’t Stop. In the Intermediate Division, Entity impressed with tight musicianship and stage presence in a performance of X. The Advanced Division featured strong competition, with The Bens performing Yellow, My Favourite Worst Nightmare delivering God Save the Queen, and Carp Syndrome energising the crowd with Bring Me to Life. Congratulations to Carp Syndrome for a memorable performance, My Favourite Worst Nightmare as Runners-Up and The Bens, the Advanced Division Winners.
