Exploring Vivid Colours

The Bundaluk (Red) class have been joyfully exploring colours this week, inspired by Sydney’s Vivid Festival. Through stories, discussions and creative play, the children have been sharing their own Vivid experiences, drawing connections between the vibrant lights they’ve seen and the colours they’re discovering in their learning environment.

These shared experiences have sparked rich conversations and curiosity, particularly around how images are projected onto buildings and how different colours are used in the displays. This exploration not only supports early understandings of colour, light and projection but also strengthens connections to the wider community.

The learning links to the IGS You Can Do It! program, with children building confidence as they speak and share stories with their peers. Through these joyful interactions, the children are developing both their communication skills and their sense of belonging in a collaborative, imaginative environment.
