On Wednesday 4 March, Year 7 students took part in an annual Inquisitive Minds workshop, focused on problem solving challenges and collaborative thinking. Students worked with their partner to tackle a variety of puzzles, with a competitive element adding to the excitement as they raced to solve problems with the ultimate goal of winning a chocolate prize.

Many students found the experience both challenging and enjoyable, with winners Clara and Amelie saying, “This is the funnest thing ever!” as well as Vivienne and Ivy sharing, “Today was filled with joy and excitement, we would 100% do this again!”. Mr Moulds said in “all of his teaching, this was the best incursion he had ever seen”.
Sacha B and Benny F said this “maths incursion has been my favourite part of the year so far, because I got to work with my friends and try and get more efficient at maths” This workshop provided a fun opportunity for Year 7 to develop strong roots with their problem solving skills, and their overall enthusiasm for Mathematics.
