Big smiles as Kindergarten and Year 1 take part in carnival

Despite a slightly overcast day, there was plenty of enthusiasm in the air as some of our younger students participated in a novelty carnival.

Kindergarten and Year 1 enjoyed a range of novelty events at Wentworth Park on Thursday 11 August 2022.

“The smiles were big, the enthusiasm was electric and participation levels were high. Students participated in a number of novelty events including the egg and spoon race, sack races, tug of war and parachute games,” said PDHPE Teacher Lucy Haynes.

“The 50 metre sprint and 50 metre hurdle events on the track saw outstanding displays of athleticism from all who ran.

“The PDHPE Department organised and ran a fun filled, action packed morning which was cheered on by a high number of parent spectators. It was good to see amazing levels of sportsmanship and house spirit on display.

“Many thanks must also go to the Year 10 student helpers who also found enjoyment in some of their old primary school games.”
