The Year 7 Camp at Del Rio Riverside Resort marked an important early moment in the School year. Designed to welcome new students, the camp focused on helping the group come together, form friendships and build connections with teachers beyond the classroom. From the outset, the emphasis was on shared experiences and learning how to support one another.
Across the camp, students took part in stand up paddle boarding, mountain biking, orienteering, kayaking and bush walking. A highlight for many was time at the water park, where the giant tipping bucket proved a popular meeting point. One evening saw students cooking their own pasta dinner before settling into tents, an experience that encouraged teamwork and independence.
The camp helped establish a sense of belonging – setting a positive tone for the year ahead.
