Last Thursday was a day filled with pride, excitement and heartfelt community spirit as we officially launched The IGS Foundation, a bold and hopeful new chapter for our School. For the first time, all donations will support long-term investment, as the Foundation brings together our Building, Library and Indigenous Scholarship Funds. This unified approach strengthens the School’s bold vision of Unity Through Diversity, equipping every student to be world-ready through languages and a culture of excellence.
This moment of celebration was beautifully matched by the overwhelming success of our 2025 Giving Day, which commenced with a front of School gold coin collection and mufti day for our students, accompanied by a thrilling performance by the IGS Stage Band, conducted by Mr Mark Howard as part of our Jazz Enrichment Program. In a shining display of generosity and unity, our community raised an extraordinary $171,258 from more than 250 donations, soaring past both our $100,000 goal and our $150,000 bonus target. It was our most inspiring Giving Day yet, and it happened thanks to our extraordinary IGS Community.
We extend our warmest gratitude to our Major Donors, whose outstanding generosity helped carry us to this incredible milestone, and to the wonderful students and staff who brought contagious enthusiasm to our on-campus call centre.
